BROCCOLI QUICHE





INGREDIENTS





* 2 tablespoons butter


* 1 onion, minced


* 1 teaspoon minced garlic


* 2 cups chopped fresh broccoli


* 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust


* 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese


* 4 eggs, well beaten


* 1 1/2 cups milk


* 1 teaspoon salt


* 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


* 1 tablespoon butter, melted





DIRECTIONS





1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).


2. Over medium-low heat melt butter in a large saucepan. Add onions, garlic and broccoli. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally until the vegetables are soft. Spoon vegetables into crust and sprinkle with cheese.


3. Combine eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in melted butter. Pour egg mixture over vegetables and cheese.


4. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until center has set.Do you have a good quiche recipes?
My favorite is Quiche Lorraine...


1 (9 inch) pie shell, baked


6 eggs, beaten


8 slices of crisp bacon, drained %26amp; crumbled


1 cup of shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese


1 1/4 cup of half %26amp; half, light cream or milk


1/2 teaspoon of salt


1/8 teaspoon of pepper





Stir together bacon and cheese. Put in pie shell. Add remaining ingredients to beaten eggs. Beat until well blended. Pour over bacon and cheese mixture. Bake at 375潞F. for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Serves 6.Do you have a good quiche recipes?
take a 1/2cup of rice wash them nicely with water,keep it aside,take same amount of any Dal as toor ,or massor or moong ,or mix of all Dal ,cut veggies all type wht ever you love should be more then double of amount of rice, mix all ingredients pore extra water to rice and cook them in cooker only for 5 min, let it sit for some time without fire then remove the presser ,now take a pan heat over fire put some oil and addsome rai,,jeera ,curry leaves,tomato,red chill power, salt and some tamrine water as per ur taste ,add some peanut ,roast till cook add the rice mix ,and serve hot with lot of love and ghee.u can nerv go wrong this dish, ohhh ya if u like nonveg u can add tht with rice .
Artichokes (1 pkg of frozen hearts defrosted and patted dry) 3 tbls of chopped sundried tomatoes, dash of Mrs Dash Italian seasoning 6 eggs .. one deep dish pie crust .. 1/2 can of evaporated milk .. salt and pepper to taste.





Pre-bake the shell at 350 for 15-20 minutes .. mix all the other ingredients together .. fill in the shell .. bake for 40 minutes at 350 until set.
Quiche Lorraine:





Makes 1 eleven-inch quiche








All-purpose flour, for dusting





Tart Dough





10 ounces slab bacon, cut into 3/4-by-1/4-by-1/4-inch strips





3 large eggs





3 large eggs





2 cups heavy cream





3/4 teaspoon coarse salt





1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper





1. On a lightly floured work surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick. Cut out a 13- inch circle from dough. Press dough onto bottom and up sides of an 11-inch tart pan with a removable bottom; trim dough flush with top edge of pan. Prick bottom all over with a fork. Transfer to a rimmed baking sheet. Freeze until firm, about 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400掳.





2. Line tart shell with parchment paper, and fill with pie weights or dried beans. Bake until dough starts to feel firm on the edges, about 20 minutes. Remove parchment and weights; continue baking until crust is pale golden brown, about 10 minutes. Let cool completely on a wire rack. Leave oven on.





3. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 10 minutes. Transfer with a slotted spoon to paper towels to drain.





4. Whisk eggs, cream, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Pour mixture into tart shell, and scatter the bacon strips on top. Bake until puffed and pale golden brown, about 30 minutes. Let cool at least 30 minutes before serving.
P芒te Bris茅e Recipe


INGREDIENTS:


1 recipe pate brisee or refrigerated pie crust, blind baked (see instructions below)


4 slices thick cut bacon


1 Tablespoon unsalted butter


1-1/2 cups heavy cream or creme fraiche


3 large eggs


salt and freshly ground pepper


PREPARATION:


Preheat oven to 350F.


1. Line a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom with the pie crust. Line the inside of the crust with crumbled wax paper.


Place in oven and bake about 12-15 minutes or until partially done. Remove the paper and bake an additional 2-3 minutes to dry out the bottom.


2. Melt the butter in a saut茅 pan over medium heat.


3. Add the bacon slices and cook until browned ~ about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.


4. Whisk the cream and eggs together until blended


Season with salt and pepper.





5. Crumble the bacon evenly over the crust and pour the egg mixture over. Stir if necessary to make sure that the bacon is evenly distributred.





6. Set the pan on a baking sheet and bake for about 40-45 minutes. A knife blade inserted into the center should come out clean.


To serve:


Allow to cool a few minutes before cutting into slices. Serve with a simple green salad and a glass of white wine for a perfect light lunch or supper.
Here is a very special quiche recipe from the great Pacific Northwest. It is fabulous and one that most people have never tried.





Smoked Salmon Quiche


Preparation time: 25 minutes. Serves 4.





Ingredients:


2 whole eggs


2 egg yolks


1 1/2 cups half and half cream


1/4 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground is best)


1/2 teaspoon dried dill


4 ounces shredded Swiss cheese


3 ounces smoked salmon (preferably wild)


2 tablespoons chopped green onions


1 tablespoon capers (drained)


12 pencil thin asparagus, blanched or steamed for 1 minute and left whole for topping quiche (see picture)


One 8-9 inch unbaked pie shell





Instructions:


Beat the eggs, egg yolks, cream, dill and pepper in a mixing bowl with a wire whip until blended but not frothy


Place crust on sheet pan lined with wax paper or parchment paper


Layer with Swiss cheese, smoked salmon, and green onions


Pour egg mixture over all and then place whole pencil asparagus on top, fanning them from the center of the quiche (see picture)


Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes or until quiche is puffed up and browning on top





Let sit a few minutes before cutting and plating and enjoying


May be refrigerated and reheated later in a microwave oven
