i use flour to thicken. after experimenting its the best method.

season meat with lots of slat pepper onion garlic powder and oregano then brown cubed meat in little oil with diced onions until dark brown

add diced garlic, 1 cup red wine and 1 small can tomato sauce then about 10 baby potatoes and 4-5 carrots cut into chunks. stir well. add water just to cover meat.

cook low and slow about 3 hours.

mix 2 tbs flour with 1/2 cup water - put in tubberware and shake until lumps are out. right before serving stew add flour mix. you can also add a pat of butter for a nice shine

i serve over egg noodles or white rice

dont have quiche recipe but i love ham quishe!!
